Post-doc à l'université de Caroline du Nord UNC (USA).
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in nuclear theory with Prof. Jonathan Engel, to begin around September 1, 2015 (starting date flexible). Funding comes from the SciDAC NUCLEI collaboration, of which the fellow will be a part. Candidates should have experience in nuclear-structure theory (or other kinds of many-body theory), nuclear astrophysics, or fundamental symmetries in nuclei. It is anticipated that research will focus on double-beta decay, r-process nucleosynthesis, nuclear density-functional theory, and nuclear structure more generally, including ab initio methods.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, and the names of three people who can write letters of recommendation (and who will be contacted automatically) to the UNC website by January 1, 2015. Evaluation of applications will begin shortly thereafter. UNC is an affirmative action and equal opportunity institution.
